LeanApps is Keylane's platform for life insurance and pension administration, covering policies, insurance products, pension processes, customer communication, and integrations across the policy lifecycle. I develop customer-requested features and resolve complex production issues as part of an international Scrum team.

Business context
LeanApps Life is a business-critical system used to administer life insurance and pension products. It covers policy administration, insurance and pension calculations, customer communication, key events across the policy lifecycle, and integrations with external parties. Reliability, data accuracy, and regulatory compliance are essential.
My role
I work in an international Scrum team and take ownership of changes from analysis through to delivery. That covers understanding the requirement, implementing it, supporting testing, and coordinating the release.
What I work on
- Design and implement customer-requested features based on business and regulatory requirements.
- Investigate and resolve complex functional and technical production issues, with a strong focus on stability and data accuracy.
- Contribute to technical analysis and solution design across insurance calculations, pension processes, data models, customer communication, and external interfaces.
- Support platform modernisation on Java 21 and help keep frameworks and dependencies current and secure, including addressing known vulnerabilities.
AI-assisted delivery
I built internal custom GPT solutions that help the team review sprint progress, identify blockers and delivery risks, and find company information faster. I also use AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, and ChatGPT in daily development while keeping full ownership of technical decisions and code quality.
Collaboration
I collaborate with developers, testers, delivery consultants, and functional specialists across teams in the Netherlands and India.
